QS Guitar Lessons
Hi, I’m Quentin Singer — a Dublin (IE) based professional guitarist with a passion for helping guitarists unlock their full potential, whether they're a complete beginner or in the early stages of becoming an advanced player.
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2019, where I studied guitar and music theory with a diverse range of world class musicians. Alongside gigging internationally and producing music, teaching has long been a central pillar to my musical career.
While I've been teaching privately since 2021, I've taught at a plethora of music schools across the U.S. including Back 2 Rock, In Home Music Teachers, and Los Angeles Music Teachers. I care tremendously about my teaching and my student's development, and with my nuanced curriculum I ensure students learn through patience, practice, and with purpose.
About My Lessons
Teacher For Hobbyists and Professionals
Regardless if you're learning guitar as a hobby or if you're wanting to become a professional, every lesson I teach involves working on a variation of 3 core concepts: technique, timing and theory.
From years of teaching guitar and playing as a professional, I can say with certainty that developing a solid foundation on these 3 concepts is essential to engage with the guitar effectively and develop one's skills, but most importantly have FUN with the instrument!
Learn How To Practice
Through my lessons students will learn how to develop an effective practice routine and they'll learn how to approach the instrument with a fun and creative mindset, all whilst learning from these foundational concepts in a progressive and rewarding manner.
Curriculum Provided
The curriculum I've developed encompasses a diverse range of songs, concepts, and exercises mainly catered to rock and metal genres, but also contemporary music genres (Blues, Jazz, Pop).
Dedicated Student Folder
Each of my students are given their own personalized digital folder containing course work I've written and online resources to practice from. After every lesson students will be given a detailed recap on their lesson, and they'll know exactly what to practice and improve upon for the next lesson in order to reach their goals.

Payment Processing — I take all payments for lessons via Revolut, Paypal, or Bank transfer. Payments must be made PRIOR to a scheduled lesson(s). If a payment takes up to or more than 24 hours to transfer, I ask for a bank receipt to be provided for proof that a transfer has been initiated.
Lesson cancellation — A minimum of a 12-hour notice is required in order for the student to NOT forfeit their lesson slot. Due to high lesson demand, I operate a tight schedule and last-minute cancellations impact my scheduling and the availability I can offer students. Of course, sick days & emergencies happen, which I often make exceptions for. If a minimum 12-hour notice is provided, I will follow up with makeup lesson options for the student. I try my best to accommodate cancellations, but if the student can’t attend any of the makeup options provided then the lesson will be forfeited.
Lessons Packages — A lesson package MUST be used within a 5 week period, no exceptions. The added week gives flexibility in case a student needs to cancel a given week. In the event of a cancellation, that lesson must be rescheduled within a 7 day period from the previously scheduled date. A make-up lesson will not be issued for more than one cancellation in a 4-week package.

Kevin - QS Guitar Lessons
Delighted with my first in-person lesson with Quentin - after quickly gauging my level of playing we went through some exercises that were tough but well-suited for me. He was very well-prepared and didn't waste my time; once we were happy I had a decent grip of the material we moved on rather than wasting the class on practice which could be done on my own time. The hour flew by but also felt jam-packed, and he helped me make immediate improvements in areas I'd struggled with for ages - I could never get pinch harmonics to sound right, and he had me doing them in a couple of minutes. I'll definitely be continuing lessons with him!

Quentin is an excellent guitar teacher. His lessons are super engaging again and tailored to my skill level. He’s helped me improve so much in a short time and I always look forward to every lesson. Highly recommend!
Rory - QS Guitar Lessons
I had a great first lesson with Quentin. He was able to quickly gauge my level and get me straight into learning some fun pieces with great tips on technique. After the lesson, I soon received my practice material via email which I can’t wait to work on during the week. If you want to start making progress with your playing again, give this man a shout.
Liam - QS Guitar Lessons
I got my first lesson with Quentin and it really was an eye-opener. I'm a beginner and although I was somewhat practicing similar exercises, my technique was abysmal and within the first 10 minutes Quentin already fixed a loooot of stuff I didn't learn correctly. Already booked follow up lessons. 10/10 would recommend. Very patient, knowledgeable, and skilled. And my God, not to mention the speed. Can't wait to get there myself!

“Quentin is a true professional. From your very first lesson you’ll be able to tell that he’s passionate about guitar and about helping you in your journey in learning the instrument. As someone who lacked confidence going in as an “older”/ adult learner, Quentin has showcased an amazing ability to meet me where I am, covering the basics but in a way that’s fun, interesting and keeps me motivated. He is incredibly patient and thorough/ articulate with his explanations, making sure you really “get it.” Not everyone that can “do,” can teach, but that is absolutely not the case with Quentin. He’s truly an amazing teacher and any student would be lucky to have the opportunity to learn under him, truly.”
Patty - (parent of former student at Los Angeles Music Teachers)
“My daughter took lessons with Quentin for over a year. She learned a lot from him. He taught her to read music and many different techniques. He has a lot of patience with kids and teens. He made it fun by teaching her current songs from some of her favorite artists as well as some jazz and rock. She was sad when he left to move abroad. She refers to Quentin as ‘the best guitar teacher ever’..”

“When your guitar teacher pulls out a Jim Root signature, you know he's the right guy! Quentin knows his stuff, and has good patience to teach. He other structures learning based on student's interest and their level.”
Hannah - QS Guitar Lessons

He is very patient and his classes are very helpful in moving forward with the guitar! I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for guitar lessons!”

“I had the pleasure of working with Quentin for guitar lessons, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He is an excellent music teacher, extremely knowledgeable in the field and so passionate of his craft that it made every lesson not just educational but inspiring. His kind and patient approach made learning music theory and guitar less intimidating and helped build my confidence in my abilities. Any student, beginner or otherwise, would be very lucky to have Quentin as their teacher..”
Buddy - (former student from Los Angeles Music Teachers)
“Quentin has complete control of guitar teaching in all genres. He was patient and complete with all lessons. And he was always prepared for that week’s lesson and the practice schedule for that week. He always made me feel comfortable and interested in the lesson. Great teacher, hated losing him”
Holly - (former student from Los Angeles Music Teachers)
“Starting to learn a new instrument in your late 20s isn't easy, but I'm glad I was able to start with a guitar instructor as knowledgeable and patient as Quentin. Over the 8 months I took lessons with him, I felt listened to and supported. We focused on songs and genres that I was interested in, while mixing in music theory and the basics on how to read music. Even when I was being hard on myself, Quentin was great at encouraging my abilities and practicing. Learning an instrument at any age comes with its challenges, but Quentin is a great instructor to help kickstart the process.”
